Win8 application breaks through the 35,000 mark

According to the statistics of the application search site MetroStore Scanner, there are currently more than 35,000 Windows 8 apps in the Microsoft Windows Store app store.

The exact number of apps is 35,167. Statistics show that in the past 35 days, Microsoft's Win 8 applications have increased by 14,557. This indicates that the number of applications for the Win 8 system platform is growing at a rate of 415 per day. In comparison, at the beginning of November, Win 8's average daily growth rate was only 362.

With the release of Windows 8, the development of application software has become more and more, and Microsoft should be happy about this. Of the 35,167 applications, more than 22,000 programs are available to users in the US market, including 18,000 free apps and 4,000 paid apps.

Of course, for a system platform application, the above data can only be regarded as a statistical data for the time being. In contrast, the average quality of applications and the functionality of critical applications are even more important. But then again, the number of applications is still important for a system, and the faster the application is updated, the better the market performance of the operating system.

The following data will better illustrate the situation. There are several iconic nodes: As of October 30, Win8 has 10,000 applications; on November 6, the total number is 13,000; November 14 rises. To 16000; on November 22, the total number of applications exceeded the threshold of 20,000. As of now, the total has broken 35,000. According to the current average increase of 415 applications per day, on February 1 next year, the total number of Win8 applications will reach 50,000.

Windows 8 is Microsoft's upgrade to the Windows operating platform. For the first time, the application mall has been added to the release and operation of the operating system. The integration of operating systems and application malls has long been an industry rule in the industry. Many companies have succeeded in this area, so it is not surprising that Microsoft has added the Windows Store to its operating system. But such a large-scale app development is unprecedented.

Before the release of Windows 8, many people wondered if it could accumulate enough application development support, and some people questioned whether its sales could allow application developers to recover costs. So far, Windows 8 mobile phones have accumulated more than 40 million sales, and their application software has been continuously developed. It seems that in 2013, Windows 8 sales will have a good expectation.
