Microsoft claims that China's 60% of PCs have been infected with malware before sales

  

Beijing time on December 14th, Microsoft China announced today that the results of a survey of notebooks sold in more than 40 cities across the country show that 59% of PCs have been infected with malware before sales, 72% have been changed Browser settings.

It is reported that these pirated Windows systems are pre-implanted with malware that bypasses the default Windows. Security systems, in this way, cybercriminals can control infected computers, steal all kinds of account and credit card information, and more and more profit-making gangs organize the malware into pirated Windows.

Microsoft revealed that it has recently taken action against 16 computer dealers pre-installed with pirated Windows, including Acer, Asus, Dell, Founder, Shenzhou, Qixi, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo and Tsinghua Tongfang. These pirate systems are not installed by the manufacturer, but are installed by individuals or downstream supply chains to replace the original non-Windows operating system.

Beginning in October 2012, Microsoft will no longer ship Windows operating systems in China in the form of storage media. After the sales of the old version of Windows CD-ROM and other storage media, the way to obtain genuine Windows in the future is only Factory pre-installation and Microsoft official website to download two channels

Microsoft claims that the action of 16 dealers is only the beginning, and will launch a series of actions in more than 40 cities across the country.
