Snow Leopard can be upgraded directly to OS X Mountain Lion?

  


According to the news, Apple's next-generation operating system, OS X Mountain Lion, is expected to be officially released at the upcoming WWDC conference this year. And now there is good news, the news said that upgrading the OS X Mountain Lion does not require the Lion system. Recently, developers hired by Apple to test Mountain Lion revealed that the Snow Leopard system can also be upgraded to Mountain Lion without upgrading from OS X 10.7 Lion.

The developer explained that because Snow Leopard can also install the Mac App Store, it works in theory. As for the hardware, Apple has not updated anything yet.

Based on previous information, upgrading OS X Mountain Lion requires the following:

64-bit Intel Core 2 Duo processor or higher;

Bootable to OS X 64-bit kernel;

MacBook Pro - 13-inch (in 2009), 2.2/2.4 GHz clocked 15-inch model, 17-inch model (end of 2007 or newer);

MacBook - 13" (2008 aluminum case, 2009 new or new);

MacBook Air - 2008 or newer;

Mac Mini - 2009 or newer;

iMac - 2007 or newer;

Mac Pro - 2008 early or newer;

Xserve - 2009 initial.
