Twitter is available in five languages, including Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese

  

On September 15th, Twitter announced today on the official blog that it has launched five new languages: Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Hindi, Filipino and Malay.

Twitter statement said, & ldquo; Last week we announced a 100 million active users of the message, and now the launch of a new language can make at least half a billion people worldwide, more convenient access. ” Twitter said that it currently supports 17 languages.

Twitter uses the method of “crowdsourcing translation” to collect local netizens to complete localization work. Netizens are responsible for translating the twitter.com interface, support pages, official applications, and even legal texts. At present, the number of volunteer translators has reached more than 290,000.

Twitter will begin the translation of Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Polish and Hungarian.
