Microsoft will release 5 patches to fix 15 vulnerabilities next Tuesday

Beijing time on September 9th news Microsoft said on Thursday that the company will release five security patches next Tuesday to fix 15 security vulnerabilities such as Windows, Excel, SharePoint Server and Groove. All five security patches are “important” and are the second highest threat level in Microsoft's four-tier system. There are two patches to fix Windows security vulnerabilities, one of which fixes only server-based security vulnerabilities such as Server 2003, Server 2008, and Server 2008 R2. The second patch fixes all supported versions of the Windows operating system, including XP, which has been around for 10 years, and the newer Windows 7.

In addition, two patches fix security vulnerabilities in Excel software, including the latest Windows version of Excel 2010 and Mac version of Excel 2011 and Excel in Office software. The fifth patch fixes security vulnerabilities in various server-side software, including security vulnerabilities in software such as SharePoint, Groove, and Office Web Apps.

Security personnel pointed out that although three security vulnerabilities in Microsoft's patch can be used by remote attackers to remotely execute code, that is, hijacking users' computers, the security level Microsoft provides for these security patches indicates that Attackers need to be able to exploit these security vulnerabilities with the participation of users, such as tricking users into visiting a malicious website.
