Windows 7 SP1 RC candidate version of the first batch of exposure

In July, Microsoft publicly released the first beta version of Windows 7 SP1, version number Build 7601.16562.100603-1800. At the end of August, Microsoft confirmed that Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 was completed. The new version, but only for some PC and Technology Adoption Program (TAP) partners, version number Build 7601.17077.

Although Microsoft has not talked about the development of Windows 7 SP1 since then, there have been third-party sources revealed that Microsoft has provided Windows 7 SP1 RC-Escrow version to partners and some testers. The version number and screenshot of this version are also provided by the same source.

The Windows 7 SP1 RC-Escrow version number for this exposure is Build 7601.17104. The Windows 7 SP1 RC-Escrow version is not the RC candidate for Windows 7 SP1, just the preview version of RC. However, the Escrow version means that most of the functionality of the RC candidate has been frozen, and the next development work is focused on functional improvements and resolution of known issues.

According to Microsoft's official FAQ document, the final official version of Windows 7/Server 2008 R2 SP1 will be released in the first half of 2011.
