Analysis of Shutdown Skills in Windows 2000 Operating System

Computer shutdown is a simple matter. It is the most basic lesson we learn about computers. Although it is simple, if we use it, then the shutdown will become more pleasant, especially now Win2000, shutdown More choices. If you learn the skills, others will regard you as a computer expert, and at the very least, you can show off in front of beginners.

In Win2000, you can shut down with one button and you can hibernate quickly. If you need to start Win2000 for more than a minute, and always complain that the startup is too slow, you can try the Win2000 sleep function, which will enable you to quickly enter the working state. How can we do this? Follow me!

Let's go to the "Control Panel" /"Power" option, put "Enable Hibernate Support" on the "Sleep" page, click "OK", now "Start" /"Shutdown" one more The item "hibernate", if selected, Win2000 will spend more than ten seconds to write the memory to the hard disk (provided that the hard disk has a space as large as the memory, haha, memory is also a bad thing). The next time you turn it on, the boot process is to read the hard disk image directly back into the memory. Everything is the same as when you last shut down, and the corresponding program is still running. However, in order to stabilize the performance, you should turn off the unused programs before you go to sleep. According to my experience, if you use the sleep shutdown, the next time you turn on the power, press the power switch to Win2000 to enter the operational state, as long as about 20 seconds. How is it faster than Win95? Is your heart moving? Then come on.

Enter "Power Options" again, under "Power Button" on the "Advanced" page, "When the computer sleep button is pressed", select "Sleep". Once determined, we can quickly go to sleep when we press the "Sleep" button on the keyboard. So when we want to shut down in sleep mode, just click the "Sleep" button, it's convenient!

Similarly, we can enter the “Power Options” and check “Enable Advanced Power Support” on the “Advanced Power Management” page. Then enter the "Power Options", under the "Advanced" page "Power Button", there is one more, "When the computer power button is pressed", select "Power Off", so we can press the "Power" button quickly After shutting down, the computer screen will flash off after a few flashes. Of course, the shutdown speed is fast, but it is slow when booting (still normal boot, different from illegal shutdown), but it is a new boot.

After doing this, we have to pay attention to whether your computer shutdown has become a reboot. If so, go to "Power Options" and turn "Advanced Power Management" on the "Advanced Power Management" page. Support "tick, confirm. Don't worry at this time, you can quickly shut down when you use the "Power" button. As long as your motherboard supports (now even supported by motherboards two years ago), whether you use AT power or ATX, the above can be used, my power supply is AT power, when you press the "Power" button or After the “Sleep” button, the screen displays “Now it can be safely shut down”, and the power switch is turned on and OK. The old power supply can also enjoy a quick shutdown, haha!

So when do you use "Sleep" and when do you use "Power"? Win2000 is based on the NT kernel, and the stability is much better than Win98. When you are using the computer and feel that there is a problem with the system, log out the current user (the user of the single machine, of course, use the Administrator), and re-enter, basically solve the problem. When you change the system or install new software, you need to restart it, or when you feel that it should be restarted, you can use the "Power" button to quickly shut down, so that the next time you boot, you will start it again.

Finally, we will put out the "Group Policy" to make a little change. Type "gpedit.msc" in the Run box and go to the Group Policy window. Open "User Configuration" /"Management Module" /"Desktop", select "Do not save settings when exiting", right-click "Properties", and select "Enable" on the "Policy" page to confirm exit. This will be a little bit faster when shutting down, restarting, and logging out.

How? Now that you know it, you can save us a lot of time by shutting down the computer. Give it a try, when you say in front of people that your computer can get into work within 20 seconds, do they not believe it, or are they envious?
