Install Vista

from the hard disk under XP

Now dual system dual boot is normal, don't need any tools to add boot. The specific method is as follows:

1. First download the iso image file of vista. Install a virtual drive. Load the Vista image file with a virtual CD-ROM drive and copy all the files inside to the hard disk, such as D:\\Vista.

2. Copy the “bootmgr”;“boot” folder in Vista to the C drive directory, and create a sources folder in the root directory of the C drive, put D:\\Vista Copy the boot.win under \\sources to the sourse folder under the C drive.

3. Use the PartitionMagic Portable Vista 8.05 toolbox to format the ntfs in the partition where you want to install Vista.

4. Run cmd with the administrator and run c:\\boot\\bootsect.exe /nt60 c: After exiting, restart the computer.

5. Restart the computer, start the installer, load boot.wim, and start the PE environment. This process may be long, please wait.

6. The installer starts, select the language type you want to install, and choose the time and currency display type and keyboard and input method that suits you.

appears "Start the installation interface", (note, do not click & ldquo; now install & rdquo;) point to the lower left corner "repair my computer" (repair my computer).

Go to “System Recovery Options", select the last "command prompt" (command prompt) to enter the DOS window.

7. Run C:\\boot\\bootsect.exe /nt52 under DOS C:

Then delete the following files in the C drive (some files may be hidden, please run before deleting) Attrib -r -h -s)

del C:\\boot\\bootsect.exe

del C:\\bootmgr

del C:\\boot

del C:\\sources

It is very important to delete these. If you don't delete them, you can't restart them and you can't boot the system to complete the installation.

8. Now you can enter and exit the installation command, enter D:\\Vista\\sources\\setup.exe and press Enter. Then it's the same as booting the CD.
