Mixed sound problem solving in Vista

Problem Description

When playing some movies in Vista, there will be a mix of sounds, such as Mandarin and Cantonese.

Cause Analysis

This phenomenon can be used to play multimedia files by adjusting the system audio properties under WinXP system, so there will be no "mixing" situation, ie Mono is used to solve the mixed sound problem, but under Vista it is not as simple as XP to change the channel to solve, because the mono can not be adjusted in the audio properties under vista. Instead of canceling the audio properties, it is quite hidden.

Solution

1. Open the control panel and double-click the “Sound” icon. In the pop-up “Sound” property dialog box, please select the “Speaker” icon and select it. Click the "Properties" button in the lower right corner

4, can be adjusted according to the channel conditions occupied by the media file, until a satisfactory situation is reached. Note: When using this method for adjustment, the tested files with “mixed tone” media can basically reach a satisfactory state, but there are also cases where individual files cannot be adjusted. For example, after the adjustment is completed, the media file will appear “ Illegal operation", or without any prompt information, exit directly. If the media file does not play properly, it is generally caused by the file being suppressed, and has nothing to do with the user system and the player.
