Identifying 2GB of memory is only 1GB available, is the system incompatible with memory?

Although the minimum installation requirement of Win7 system is 1GB memory, when the system is running, this memory will be very tight! So many users will choose to buy a 1GB memory to upgrade the computer to 2GB capacity, but the system response speed does not change much. I thought that I could have more memory space to use, but after entering the system settings, I found that although the system can recognize 2GB of memory, but only 1GB is available, is the system incompatible with memory? Or what is going on?
Tips in parentheses:

Either the BIOS or the test software can recognize that the notebook has a total of 2GB of memory installed, but 1GB of it cannot be called by the system. In general, the Win7 system will automatically recognize and use the newly upgraded memory capacity of the computer, but if we have optimized the computer's memory parameters with optimization software, it is more likely to occur when upgrading the memory again.
Enter “msconfig” in the search box of the start menu, bring up the system configuration window, go to the “boot” tab and click the “advanced option“ button, which is the "guide advanced option" Limit the maximum memory capacity of the system to only 1024.
Cancel the check box in front of "Maximum Memory" or enter 2048 (depending on your actual memory capacity) in the Maximum Memory Capacity dialog box and click Apply.

After rebooting the system, you will be pleasantly surprised to find that the 1GB of memory that was "swallowed" by the system has finally come out, and the available memory of the system becomes 2GB.

If you also find that your memory has been "swallowed", or it shows that the installation memory is not available, you can solve your problem by modifying the above method. Try it out.
This article is often applied to the early user's computer from 1GB memory and later upgraded to 2GB, before using the optimization software to optimize the computer's memory parameters, and later did not change the memory parameters back. If you find that the memory capacity is "swallowed", or if the installation memory is not available, you can look it up in this article.
