The slower the Windows system is, the more indisputable. Therefore, using Windows will inevitably require reinstalling the system. Of course, reinstalling the system is not difficult, but after installing the system, do you know how many things we have to do? This can not be allowed to relax. Once sloppy, it may lead to the loss of power, and may even cause data loss. Information leaks!
The first big thing: don't rush to access the network
Do not connect the server to the network immediately after installing Windows, because the server has not been patched and there are various vulnerabilities. Very vulnerable to viruses and intrusions. At this point, add the shock wave and shock wave patch and restart and connect to the Internet.
The second big thing: patching the system/installing anti-virus software
Needless to say, the patch of shockwave and shockwave virus must be marked. If you install Windows XP SP2, you don't need to install it separately.
After installing the system, be sure to install anti-virus software and update it to the latest version.
The 3rd big thing: Turn off System Restore
System Restore is a feature in Windows ME and Windows XP, Windows 2003 that allows us to restore the system to a certain time state, thus avoiding the need to reinstall the operating system. . However, some people performed a system restore and found that except for the C drive, the other D and E disks were restored to their previous state. As a result, the files saved in it were gone, causing serious damage!
This is because the system restore defaults to all partitions on the hard disk, so once the system restore operation is performed, the data of all partitions will be restored. Therefore, we must press the Win+Break button, then click the “System Restore” tab, uncheck the “Resume System Restore on all drives” option, then select the D drive and click the “Settings” button. In the window that opens, select the "Resume System Restore on this drive" option to turn off the rest of the system on the disk. In this way, once the system is unstable, you can use the system restore tool to restore the system on the C drive, but at the same time the files on other disks will not be a problem.
The 4th big thing, the password for the Administrator
Some people may use the system that is installed by the universal Ghost version downloaded online, or it may be the system installed by the Windows XP unattended installation CD. When using these methods, it is very likely that you will not be assigned the Administrator password, or the Administrator password is the default 123456 or simply empty. Such a password is quite dangerous, so after installing the system, please right click on "My Computer", select "Manage", and then select the "Computer Management (Local) & Rarr; System Tools on the left side. → local users and groups → users & rdquo;, select the Administrator in the right window, right-click, select “ set password & rdquo;. Click the “Continue” button in the open window to set the password for the Administrator in the open window.
