USB 2.0 driver cannot be installed under Windows XP

Q: My computer uses the Intel 845E chipset motherboard and supports USB2.0 devices. I installed Windows 98 and Windows XP dual systems on my hard disk. After installing the drivers in Windows 98, there are no problems. There is no unknown device and exclamation point in the device manager, but the driver for the USB 2.0 device is not successfully installed in Windows XP, and a yellow exclamation mark appears. I tried to update the SP1 extension package, but the system prompts the language is wrong, can not be upgraded, and now does not work properly with USB 2.0 devices in Windows XP. What should I do?
A: Many USB 2.0 devices work fine under Windows 98 and Windows 2000, but they don't work properly on Windows XP. The main problem is that the Windows XP series drivers for your USB device require SP1 patch support, so if you do not upgrade to SP1, the driver will not be installed properly. Since you are prompted by the wrong language during the upgrade process, this means that you should have a multi-language extension package installed on your system. At this point you can reinstall Windows XP and immediately upgrade to SP1 or SP2 to activate, so your USB 2.0 device will be automatically recognized by the system and can be used normally.
