Change the Windows XP boot screen in seconds

When it comes to replacing the Windows boot screen, many friends will not find a tool such as eXeScope to modify or replace the resources of the executable file, or use special software such as BootSkin to complete it?

In fact, there is no need to be so troublesome. In fact, in Windows XP/2003, as long as one parameter is used, the system boot screen can be changed in a few seconds without modifying the system files without any risk.

Step 1: Create your own boot screen

Image requirements: The picture is named Boot.bmp (Note: the file name and extension cannot be changed) Size 640*480, 16 colors The bmp bitmap is saved in the Windows directory of the system disk.

Suggestion: Create a new 640*480 black layer in Photoshop as the background, and then put your favorite pictures on the black layer. The picture mode is changed to index. Select 16 color (ie 4 bit) bmp pictures when saving. Save it in the Windows directory.

Step 2: Open C:Boot.ini with Notepad, find the line where the Windows XP startup item is located, and add

/bootLogo /noguiboot

at the end. :

Restart your computer and see if the startup screen has changed. If you are not satisfied, you can directly replace boot.bmp with your favorite new image.
