Microsoft operating system WINDOWS 2000 SERVER, WINDOWS XP, WINDOWS 2003, WINDOWS VISTA and the latest WINDOWS7 have remote desktop function However, the methods for opening remote desktops in different systems are different. We introduce them one by one.

(1) WINDOWS 2000SERVER

The PROFESSIONAL version of the WINDOWS2000 system cannot open the remote desktop function for others to access, but the SERVER version can be opened, but we need to install the corresponding WINDOWS component. The method is as follows:

It is generally considered that the method of opening this function is too complicated, and There is no guarantee that everyone will have a WINDOWS2000SERVER disc when using it. So in the XP and 2003 systems, Microsoft simplified the operation of remote desktop opening.

Step 1: Right click on the desktop "My Computer" and select "Properties".

Step 2: Select the "Remote" tab in the pop-up system properties window.

Step 3: Find "Remote Desktop" in the remote tab, and check the tracing before "Allow users to connect to this computer" to complete the remote desktop connection function under XP.

(3) WINDOWS 2003

The WINDOWS2003 startup method is similar to XP, and the operation steps are simplified. The method is as follows: Step 1: Right click on the desktop "My Computer" and select "Properties".

Step 2: Select the "Remote" tab in the pop-up system properties window.

Step 3: Find "Remote Desktop" in the remote tab, and check the tracing before "Allow users to connect to this computer" to complete the 2003 remote desktop connection function.

(4) WINDOWS VISTA

Click on "Control Panel" - "System and Maintenance" - "System" or right click on the desktop "Computer" icon and select "Properties" to open Management interface, select "Remote Settings" in the task list on the right, the corresponding settings page will pop up. If you are remotely connecting to the system from another client that also runs Windows Vista, you can use the "Allow only computers to run remote desktops with network-level authentication" option at the bottom, which provides greater security; And if you want to connect to the system from a Windows 2000/XP client, you can only use "allow connections to computers running any version of remote desktop", of course, this poses a certain risk.
