Before installing Win2000, I used Ghost to make a backup of the C drive. Yesterday, due to a problem with the Win98 system, it took 4 minutes to restore the Win98 system to the C drive. I never thought that the dual boot menu would disappear. Win2000 could not be used. It took too long to reload it. Fortunately, I have already done a copy of the Win2000 emergency repair disk in advance, which is now in use.

First, make Win2000 emergency repair disk

1. Click “Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Information” to open the “System Information” window;

2. Click “Tools/Windows/Backup” to open the “Backup” window;

3. Click the “Emergency Repair Disk” button to find a prompt window and ask you Insert a blank floppy disk that has been formatted, click “OK>;

4. Then you will see the screen of the system data being copied. Wait a moment, you will see that the emergency repair disk has been successfully created. save.

Second, use the emergency repair disk to restore dual boot

1, use Win98 boot disk to restart the system, choose to load the optical drive (if your Win2000 installation file has been copied on the hard disk, you can get from the hard disk Boot to the Dos interface);

2, run the Win98 folder under the "Smartdrv.exe" file (this step can not be less, otherwise the next file copy time will be very long), then go to win2000 installation Folder, execute winnt.exe;

3, you can see that the system is copying the installation file to the hard disk, press the Enter key to restart after the copy is completed;

4, double boot screen appears Select the second item to update the Win2000 system;

5. Click the “R” button to fix the installation of the Win2000 Chinese version;

6. In the Win2000 repair options screen, click “&ldquo ;R” key, use the emergency repair process to repair the installation of Win2000;

7, click on the "F” button, select "Quick fix", perform all repair options;
