Windows XP removes the useless items in Custom Notifications

  

In Windows XP, right-click on the taskbar and select “Properties" in the window that opens, click “ in the notification area” ; Customize the ” button, or right-click on the system tray area and select “Customize Notifications" to open the “Customize Notifications" window. The active and urgent notification icons are displayed in the “current project” area, while the inactive icons are listed in the “Past items”, many of which are unwanted programs that we have deleted. The following methods can remove these useless items from “custom notifications".

Click “Start →Run”Enter Regedit, open the Registry Editor, navigate to the HKEY_CURRENT_ USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Windows\\CurrentVersion\\Explorer\\TrayNotify branch, and delete the IconStreams in the right window. And PastIconStreams, restart the machine to remove the useless items in the "custom notifications".
