Windows XP uses TC to quickly create a file list

TC (Total Commander) is a powerful resource management tool that many friends like very much. In fact, we can also use TC to quickly create a file list and manage it. For example, the author wants to get all the executable file names under the folder "C:\\Windows\\SYSTEM32", which can be done as follows:

Step 1: Set the display type

First Please open the C:\\Windows\\SYSTEM32 folder in the main interface. Since our purpose is to obtain all executable file names, you need to select “execute files only in the “display →file display” menu. ;, this will only list EXE, BAT, PIF, CMD and other types of executable files.

Editing Tip: By default, TC will display all files. Of course, you can also select “Customize” to display any type of file.

Step 2: List all executable files

Since C:\\Windows\\SYSTEM32 also contains several subfolders, in order to let TC also list these subfolders For all executable files, press “Ctrl+B”, so that TC will list all executable files under the current folder (including subfolders).

Step 3: Export the file list

Press “Ctrl+A” to select all files, then execute from the “Select” menu copy file name to clipboard&rdquo ; or “ Copy the file full path to the clipboard” command to copy all executable file lists under the C:\\Windows\\SYSTEM32 folder to the clipboard.

Editing Tip: The former only copies the file name, and the latter copies the full path of the file at the same time. You can decide which command to use according to the actual situation.

Step 4: Processing

Next, you can paste the list of files you just copied in any editor. As for how to deal with it later, this is not the author's business. It is.

Edit Tip: We can install a plugin called Catalog to quickly create a file list, the download address is http//ghisler. Fileburst. Com/plugins/catalogmaker. Zip, will compress the CatalogMaker in the package. Copy the wcx file to the \\Total Commander\\Plugins\\Packer folder.

Go to the C:\\Windows\\System32 folder, select all the executable files below, then click the compression icon on the toolbar, pay attention to select “lst”compress the format, click “Configure” Here, you can set the format of the generated list file. It is recommended to select all of them as well, so that the list of files obtained is the most complete. In addition, you can also set the sorting method of the file list. The default is to sort by file name. Of course, you can also re-set it to sort by extension, size, date and time. After the setting is completed, return to the main window and click “ Determine the & rdquo; button, you will soon get an LST list file in the target path.

Some friends may be worried about how to view this LST file. In fact, it is very simple. You can open and edit it directly with Notepad or any text editing tool. I won't say much here.
