Make Windows XP's "Control Panel" more refreshing

In Windows XP, open the "Control Panel" and you will find that there are more than 30 projects. Some of the items we use often, such as "management tools", "add or remove programs", etc., but there are many projects we have never used, basically do not need to use, such as "accessibility options" , "Phone and Modem Options", etc. For projects that are basically not needed, we can uninstall them and make the Control Panel refreshing.

The control panel items are saved in the Windows system directory (such as "C: Windowssystem32"), and the suffix is CPL. You can uninstall the project by deleting the corresponding CPL file. For example, if you want to uninstall the "Accessibility Options" project, delete Access.cpl in the Windows system directory.

But careful readers may find that the CPL file is automatically restored after deleting the CPL file for a few seconds. What is going on? This is because the Windows file protection feature is "blaming". We can disable the Windows file protection function by modifying the registry: find "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsNTCurrentVersionWinLogon" in the registry editor, and change the key value of "SFCDisable" to "FFFFFF9D". It is recommended that the Windows file protection function be turned off when the Windows file protection function is no longer turned off: change the key value of "SFCDisable" to the original "0".
