How to save you, my damaged XP system file

During the process of using the file, it was found that the system file was actually damaged. I don't know if it was due to virus intrusion or other reasons. Perhaps you think that the system file is damaged is only a small problem, but once the system file is destroyed, many system operations will be blocked, which brings us a lot of trouble. So how do you save these corrupted system files?

First, find the corrupted files first.

The method is as follows: Search for these files in the Windows XP installation disk, the last character of the file name is replaced by the bottom line “_”.

For example, if you want to search for “Notepad.exe” you need to search with “Notepad.ex_”.

Secondly, search for the required files, you will encounter the following problems.

1. After searching for the file, open the command line mode (enter “cmd” in "run" and enter: “full path to the full path target file of the EXPAND source file” .

For example: EXPAND D:\\SETUP\\NOTEPAD.EX_ C:\\Windows\\NOTEPAD.EXE. One thing to note is that if there are spaces in the path, you need to include the path in double quotes (quotation marks).

2. Sometimes we will find the files we need when searching in the XP disk. This is because Windows XP treats “CAB” as a folder, so for Windows XP, the files you are looking for are in the “CAB” file. We just need to drag the “CAB” file right and copy it to the appropriate directory.

3. If you are using another Windows platform, search for the ""CAB” file containing the target file name. Then open the command line mode and enter: <;EXTRACT /L target location The full path of the CAB file”.

For example: EXTRACT /L C:\\Windows D:\\I386\\Driver.cab Notepad.exe. As before, as if there are spaces in the path, you need to enclose the path in double quotes.

Perhaps you will feel that damage to the system files is not a big deal, then you are wrong, system files are an important part of the system operation. Once the system file is damaged, there will be problems in one part of the operation, so we need to save these damaged files through the XP installation disk.
