Regarding the setting of CD playback mode under Windows XP, many people don't know what is going on, let's explain it today. Since Microsoft's CD audio mode for CD-ROM drive is set to digital audio by default in Windows XP operating system, if you do not install the analog audio output cable of the CD-ROM drive, it will probably cause the sound to be played only when playing CD-ROM under Windows XP operating system. Step 1

Step 2

Open the CD-ROM sub-node, right-click on the CD-ROM device, select the “Property” item in the pop-up menu, open the CD-ROM Properties window; click on the “Properties” tab. , the option "Enable digital CD audio for this CD-ROM device" is removed.

Step 3
