The reason why the new font can not be installed in the XP system and the solution

Although Windows 7 is now used by too many users, but I believe that many friends have a soft spot for XP system? This is mainly because they rarely use the installation. Version software, basically all green software on the computer. However, I made a lot of green software to test the greening under the xp system, which led to the fact that some of the green software could not be used under Windows 7, plus I have already used the custom XP, so I have continued the use of XP. But the XP system has also recently given the author a headache, and some problems have arisen.

XP has been used all the time, but in the early days, the Arctic fish is finally out of RPWT: some problems with your XP system, resulting in fonts not installed, want to install fonts, copy fonts When I go to C:WINDOWSFonts, there is no pop-up "Install new fonts", so that the fonts copied into the folder cannot be used. There is no "Install new fonts" option in the file menu under C:WINDOWSFonts. Friends have encountered such a situation?

The first reaction at the time was google and baidu. However, the search result is either a 98 system solution or a reinstallation system, although the latter does not bother But if you encounter such a situation again next time, you still have to install the system? It seems that it is better to find a solution! The former desktop.ini file under the 98 system is not under the font folder of the xp system. Found. I can't think of it for a while. When I was preparing for the ghost reinstallation system, I suddenly found the ultimate solution:

Create a new file under the C:WINDOWSFonts folder. Sktop.ini”, open with Notepad, enter the following (without quotes):

“[.ShellClassInfo]

UICLSID= ”

After saving, Change the “desktop.ini” file attribute to read-only and hide it. This problem is solved perfectly.

Principle: C:WINDOWSFonts under xp system is a special folder, even if it will be a tool-folder All the files selected in the options are visible. The configuration file under this folder “desktop.ini” is still not displayed. The open method can only be displayed by entering C:WINDOWSFontsdesktop.ini in the address bar. So I didn’t think of this when dealing with the problem. The configuration file is lost. Many friends often search all the desktop.ini to delete the system when optimizing the system or poisoning. Therefore, deleting the file by mistake can cause the font to be unable to be installed.

After researching such problems, it is finally solved. Although many people are used to an operating system, I suggest that the new operating system still has to try a lot.
