Solve Windows xp unable to install fonts

Create a new file under the C:\\WINDOWS\\Fonts folder <desktop.ini”, open it with Notepad and enter the following (without quotes): “[.ShellClassInfo]< Br>

UICLSID={BD84B380-8CA2-1069-AB1D-08000948F534} ”, after saving, change the “desktop.ini” file attribute to read-only and hide it. This problem is solved perfectly.

Principle: C:\\WINDOWS\\Fonts under xp system is a special folder. Even if all files are selected in the tool-folder option, the configuration file under this folder “desktop.ini” is still not available. Display, open method can only be displayed by entering C:\\WINDOWS\\Fonts\\desktop.ini in the address bar. So I did not expect this configuration file to be lost when dealing with the problem. Many friends often search all the desktops when optimizing the system. Ini deletes again, so deleting this file by mistake can cause the font to be uninstallable.

Although the solution to the problem is very simple, but I have to think about it from this direction, it is quite painstaking. Just like the first one to set up the egg Up I hope this will give friends encountered the problem of some help.

Under the xp system, many friends may have encountered such a situation: when you want to install fonts, copy the fonts to C:\\WINDOWS\\Fonts, there should be no pop-up "Install new fonts"; Even the fonts copied into the folder can not be used, and there is no "Install new fonts" in the file menu under C:\\WINDOWS\\Fonts.

I also unfortunately encountered such a situation some time ago. The first reaction is google and baidu. However, the search result is either a 98 system solution, or a reinstallation system, the latter is obviously too much trouble. The former mentions the desktop.ini file under the 98 system, the font in the xp system. I didn't find it under the folder. I can't think of it for a while. When I was preparing to reinstall the system, I finally found the ultimate solution:
