From Windows XP, Windows provides a feature called "Security Center", including automatic updates, anti-virus software, firewalls, etc. It can enhance the security of the system. Windows Vista's "Security Center" has been further enhanced compared to Windows XP, with more features to monitor, introducing new components such as user account control, Windows Defender, and integrated Internet security settings. I. Know the Security Center

Open the Control Panel and type "Security Center" in the Instant Search box at the top right, then click on the "Results" column. The "Security Center" link opens the Windows Security Center main window shown in Figure 1. As you can see from the figure, Windows Vista's "Security Center" can monitor four aspects of security configuration:

1. Firewall: Monitoring When the system firewall is enabled, the Security Center reports normal as long as the firewall is enabled. By default, the firewall will be automatically enabled. If third-party firewall software is installed, you must disable the Windows Firewall that comes with the system.

2. Automatic Update: Monitors the auto-update feature enabled. As soon as auto-update is enabled, the Security Center reports normal, but does not analyze whether all necessary Update the program.

3. Malware Protection: There are two aspects to this: virus protection, spyware and other malware protection. The Security Center monitors whether anti-virus and anti-spyware programs are enabled and monitors whether they have been updated to the latest state, while Windows XP only has the ability to monitor anti-virus programs.

4. Other security settings: Monitor other security settings of the system, including Internet security settings and user account control.

Second, the alarm and repair

1. Security basic settings are disabled

If the security features that come with Windows Vista are disabled, such as Windows Firewall is turned off, a bubble pops up in the system tray area. Prompt (see Figure 2) to remind the user that the Windows Firewall has been shut down.

Clicking on this bubble prompt will automatically open the Security Center, and the "Firewall" section will be displayed in bold red, as shown in Figure 3, under which you can see “Windows Firewall Shutdown” message, click the “Immediately enable” button to re-enable Windows Firewall.

2. Anti-virus software is turned off

If the security tool is not built into Windows Vista, for example, we install third-party anti-virus software If they are disabled, or if the real-time monitoring function is turned off, the Security Center will also issue an alert (see Figure 4).

III. Shield Shield Alerts

If Windows Vista does not have the necessary virus protection software installed, or if these virus protection softwares are not working properly, for example, they are not updated to the latest state. , then the security center will pop up a bubble prompt in the system tray area, and the "Malware Protection" section will also be displayed in bold red, under the "Virus Protection" section will prompt "Windows" on this computer The anti-virus software was not found on the message, as shown in Figure 6.

Open the Security Center window and click on the "Change Security Center Notifications" method on the left side of the window. In the dialog box shown in Figure 7, select "Don't notify me, but display the icon", of course you can also select "Don't notify me, and do not display the icon (not recommended)", but this way It is impossible to know the security status of the system in time.
