However, the WinRE environment contains too few system tools, which is far from meeting the needs of our maintenance system. WinRE comes with very few tools

Extract Winre.wim

Open the root directory of the C drive, then click on the menu "Organization & Rarr; Folders and Search Options" ;, open the "Folder Options" dialog box's "View" tab; then follow the prompts to display all file resources with hidden attributes, then you will see a file named "Recovery" Folder; then open the folder under the folder containing a long string containing N long strings, copy the WIM image file named "Winre.wim", to the root directory of the E drive.

Tips: The various system maintenance tools shown above are included in the Winre.wim image file. The original location of this file in the C drive must be remembered, because we will use it below. .

Mount Winre.wim

and extract it to the root directory of the E drive and double-click to extract it to get "WIMNT.exe"; then click "Wim file" and "Click" respectively. ; directory” on the right side of the "Browse" button, you will need to mount the Wim file (that is, Winre.wim in the root directory of the E drive) and the directory after the file is mounted (such as "C:wimwim1" Directory); then click the writeable mount & rdquo; checkbox and click the “ mount & rdquo; button to complete the Winre.wim file mount operation.

Editing and replacing Winre.wim

Copying “E:MSDaRT” [Program Files> ;sources” and “Windows” these three folders, then open the “C:wimwim1” directory, the file resource in this directory is the WIM image file Winre.wim mount; then just copy the three Paste the folder into the “C:wimwim1” directory, overwrite the folder with the same name in the directory; and finally click the “Uninstall” button to update the file resources in the three folders we have pasted to Winre. The wim file is in it.

After completing the above operation, replace the Winre.wim file in the root directory of the E drive with the file with the same name in the original location of the C drive and restart the system. When we call up the system recovery option again, the dialog box will be called again.
