WinXP notebook to create a wireless LAN process

  

Wireless LAN saves a lot of cost and cost compared to cable, and our usual mobile phone network is connected in the form of wireless LAN, then how to establish a wireless LAN? The following small series takes WinXP system as an example to introduce the process of creating a wireless LAN under WinXP system.

Operation steps:

1. Enable the wireless network card: first confirm that the driver of the wireless network card has been correctly installed, and turn on the wireless network card antenna switch. Most of Lenovo notebooks are open with FN+F5 (or F4).

2, open the network connection: Open “ Start - Control Panel - Network and Internet Connection - Network Connections, right click on "Wireless Network Connections" and select "Attributes" to enter the wireless network connection properties dialog box, as shown below:

3, set the IP address: Double-click & ldquo; Internet protocol (TCP /IP) & rdquo; open Internet protocol (TCP /IP) properties dialog box, as shown below:

IP address can be provided in two ways: automatically and specify a fixed IP, but the machine to the same IP network arrangement must be taken, if set to specify a fixed IP, Then the IP addresses of these machines must be set in the same network segment. It is recommended to use an automatic IP address.

4, enable Windows wireless management: in the wireless network connection properties dialog box, click "wireless network configuration tab", in the "Use Windows to configure my wireless network configuration" check before the check Check the box to enable wireless network management that comes with Windows XP. As shown below:
