Why does the system prompt for a path not found when installing the software

Q: I installed Windows XP on my computer. When I install some software, I always prompt the system to find the path error. The same software is installed on other computers. This is not the case. Is this What's the matter, how can I solve this problem?
A: The reason for the failure to install some software in Windows XP is mostly due to the presence of Chinese characters in the installation path. Because the system supports the definition of user names in Chinese, it is very likely that this part of Chinese will be included in the default installation path when installing the software. Since some software installers do not support the path method containing the Chinese name, there will be a prompt to find the path.
The solution to this problem is to modify the user's user variable mode to a path that does not include Chinese. The specific steps are:
1. Right click on the “My Computer” icon on the desktop and select the “Properties” command.
2. Then a “System Features” window will appear on the screen, click on the “Advanced” tab, and then click the “Environment Variable” button to enter the “Environment Variable” setting window. .
3. At the top of the window, the User Variables of XXX will display the settings of the user variables temp and tmp. In this case, you need to click the "Edit" button to the variables of temp and tmp. The value is modified, that is, the variable value is changed from “%USERPROFILE%\\Local setting\\Temp” to “X:temp”, where X is the drive letter of a logical partition, if you want to set it on the D drive, then X Just use the D letter instead.
4. Click the "OK" button to save and exit, and then restart the system to solve the problem of not finding the path when installing the software.
