XP upgrade to Windows 7: Security mode changes

All said "Safety is no small matter"; this is true, since WinXP SP2 first introduced the "Security Center" function, security issues have received more and more attention. In fact, compared with the simplistic “XP Security Center”, the protection system of Windows 7 has been multiplied.

As the first point of system protection, User Account Control (UAC) automatically limits the operation of all accounts to the standard. Within the privilege (as well as the admin account), if a privilege operation is required, the system will automatically submit a temporary application to the user (please enter the admin password). In this way, even if the malware is successfully invaded, it is difficult to find a big wave, thus ensuring the basic stability of the system.

Secondly, Bitlocker and Biometric are also beginning to appear in Windows 7. In some computers with hardware facilities, we can easily implement hard disk encryption and biological detection. (such as fingerprint scanning, retinal scanning, etc.) protection, while Windows 7 has begun to allow encryption of the mobile hard disk, which is not possible with Vista.

At the same time, IE8 has also become a security fierce in Windows 7, with the addition of SmartScreen (malicious URL detector), domain name highlighting (prevention of phishing sites), The XSS Filter (preventing cross-border scripting attacks) and other functions. Greatly improved the difficulty of Trojan invasion, and these are also IE6 users under XP can not understand.

In addition, the firewall in Windows 7 is also developed by the simple protection of the XP era (one-way inbound protection) into a set of "inbound and outbound detection" (two-way filtering), "specify the filtering range by section" ;, “ three sets of independent scene modes, etc., multi-layered three-dimensional protection system. Not only is the protection ability much stronger, but some hidden items in the Vista version are also released, which facilitates the daily management of non-professional users.

It is undeniable, except for performance In addition to the advantages, WinXP, already 8 years old, has long been left behind by Windows 7. Whether it's security or innovative features, Windows 7 seems to be a successful revamp (based on Vista). Of course, just as XP replaces Win98 and needs a painful period, the Windows 7 replacement journey will not be smooth. But I believe that in the case of performance and compatibility gap, Windows 7 with more comprehensive functional technologies will definitely be favored by users. Maybe after a period of trial, you will like the new Windows 7 like me!
