Change the command prompt default location

  
in Win XP. In Windows XP, click Start → All Programs → Accessories → Command Prompt to open the Command Prompt window. By default, the system will locate X:\\ Under Documents and Settings\\Current User Name>, where X is the drive letter of the operating system. But in general, we need to use to work in a specific directory command prompt, it is necessary to use the "Computer Management" function to change the default location of the command prompt:

Click "Start → Control Panel→Performance and Maintenance→Administrative Tools→Computer Management, expand System
Tools→Local Users and Groups→Users, and then double-click the currently logged in user name in the right window, in the “Properties” dialog that opens. Click the "Profile" tab, type the current drive letter or current directory you want to change after "Local Path" under "Home Folder", such as "E:\\", then click "Apply → OK" , restart your computer to complete the change.

Now open the command prompt again, you will find that its default location has become "E:\\", it is more convenient to use?
