These two lines are available in the general audio market and electronic accessories market, and the price is about 2 yuan. Of course, you can also use advanced audio cables. In addition, if the MIDI cable is not available, you can make it yourself.

2. prepare many types of microphones

microphone, it is our common microphone and headset microphone, we generally use the headset microphone recording on the computer more convenient. Of course, if you want to record better results, you must use a professional recording microphone or a high-end headset.

3.Connect TV or tape recorder, etc.

Nowadays TVs have audio output, and two audio plugs at one end are inserted into the left and right channel audio output ports of the TV ( Note that the old TV has no audio output). The audio output of the connected audio is similar.

4.Connecting the sound card (important steps)

If you are recording a sound such as a radio or a TV, insert one end of the audio cable or MIDI cable into the Line In jack of the sound card. If you are using a headset with headphones, be aware that a plug is plugged into the Line Out jack (the audio input for the sound card, which is used for headphones), and a plug is inserted into the MicroPhone jack (this jack is usually Red for microphones).

5. Set the recording parameters (important step)

In addition, you can adjust the volume ratio (equalization) of the left and right channels.

general Walkman tape recorders and radios only headphone jack, it is necessary to use another audio cable --MIDI line. Plug the plug at one end of the MIDI cable into the headphone jack of the recorder or radio. If the plug is too large to be connected to the recorder or the Walkman, you can find a cable (headphone cable or speaker cable) that can be plugged into the Walkman or the recorder. Cut (you will find that the line is actually composed of two independent thin lines), then cut the audio line (there are also two thin lines in the audio line), and connect the two thin lines together. .

6. Turn on the recorder in Windows

Open the "Start" menu, select "Programs\\Accessories\\Entertainment\\Recorder" to open the recorder program that comes with Windows. If you do not have this item, you can install the recording program via "Add\\Remove Programs" in the Control Panel.

7. Format the WAV recording file

Select “Properties” in the “File” menu of the recording program to format the recording file. First select "Recording Format" in the "Recording Position" column, and then click the "Start Conversion" button. In the "Select Sound" column in the pop-up window, select "CD Quality" (note that CD-quality WAV format files will take up a lot of space). If you have special needs, you can choose other formats according to your own requirements. Note that in order to avoid the hassle of converting WAV format compression to MP3, try to choose a 16-bit sound format.

8. Set the recording quality

Select "Audio Properties" in the "Edit" menu of the recording program, then select the advanced properties in the "Recording" column, and then adjust "In the pop-up window" The sampling rate conversion quality", under normal circumstances, you can choose "general", of course, recording high quality sound needs to be adjusted to "best".

9. Start recording

Click the Record button in the recorder program interface, then turn on your recorder, radio, Walkman, or speak into the microphone, and the recording program will start recording. Note that the recorder in Windows can only record sounds within 60 seconds (after 60 seconds of recording, you can save the recorded sound and then record it), so it is not meaningful to use it to record songs. You can only record yourself. Some short slang words can be selected by other recording programs or the sound card comes with a recording program. The sound source selection methods for these recording software are the same as those we have here, and some are even simpler, such as the Creative Recorder, which is included with the Sound Blaster Live value sound card.

10.Save

After the sound is recorded, the recorded WAV format sound data is saved in the memory, then select the menu "Save" or "Save As" to save the sound data. Sound file for WAV format. Note that if you select Save As, you can set the sound quality and encoding format of the saved file. The recorded sound, we can also play back in the recorder program, listen to the effect, if the effect is not very satisfactory, you can re-record or optimize.
