Easy to customize XP autoplay function

A: You can make this function according to your needs:

1. Turn off the “auto play” function of a single mobile storage device. This feature is turned off directly by moving the storage device's Properties page - this requires the mobile storage device to be connected to the computer

(1) Right click in the Explorer and you need to turn off the autoplay feature. Mobile storage device. Then select "Properties"

(2) In the window that opens, click the "AutoPlay" tab, check the "Select an action to execute" item, and then select "Do not perform operations", single Click "OK".

This will no longer automatically open the folder.

2, using the "Group Policy" all at once to turn off autoplay.

(1) Click "Start" /"Run", enter "gpedit.msc", run, open the "Group Policy" window.

(2) In the left column under "Local Computer Policy", open "Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - System", then in the right column under the "Settings" heading, double-click "Close AutoPlay".

(3) Select the “Settings” tab and check the “Enabled” checkbox. Then select "All Drives" in the "Close AutoPlay" box and click the "OK" button.

This "closed auto play" can also be made in "User Configuration". However, the settings in Computer Configuration are broader than the settings in User Configuration, which helps multiple users use such settings.

Note: The "Automatically Close Auto" setting only allows the system to no longer list discs and removable storage directories, and does not prevent automatic playback of music CDs. To prevent automatic playback of music CDs, you need to change the properties of your mobile device.
