Modifying Windows XP configuration makes the system no longer use the slower

Windows XP startup will have many speed-influencing features, although ms said that it has been optimized, but there are still many customizations for us. I usually do this.

1. Modify the registry run key to cancel some unusable things, such as Windows Messenger. Enable Registry Manager: Start → Run → Regedit → find "HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRunMSMSGS" /BACKGROUND This key value, right click → delete, the world is quieter, and by the way, what cfmon is killed.

2, modify the registry to reduce pre-read, reduce the progress bar waiting time, the effect is that the progress bar runs into the login screen after a lap, start → run → regedit start the registry editor, find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession ManagerMemory ManagementPrefetchParameters, has a key EnablePrefetcher to change its value to "1". In addition, friends who do not frequently change hardware can set the device type on the bus device to none in the system properties.

3, close the special effects in the system properties, this is a simple and effective speed-up recipe. Click Start → Control Panel → System → Advanced → Performance → Settings → In Visual Effects, set to adjust for optimal performance → OK. This way the desktop will be very similar to win2000. I still like XP's blue window, so I put a tick on "Use visual styles on windows and buttons" so that you can see the beautiful blue interface and speed up. .

4, I use Windows commadner + Winrar to manage files, Win XP's ZIP support is not as good as mine, because no matter what I need, the boot system will open a zip support, originally idle Less system resources are one less point, click Start → Run, type: "regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll" in the middle of the double quotes, and then press Enter to confirm, the success flag is a prompt window, the content is roughly : Dll UnrgisterServer in zipfldr.dll succeeded.

5, it is said that a system service XP of XP, this scheduling to take up a certain amount of network bandwidth, such as me, a hairless person can not stand, remove the method is: start menu → run → type gpedit.msc , the "Group Policy" window appears, expand "Administrative Templates" → "Network", expand "QoS Packet Scheduler", right click on the "Restricted Retainable Bandwidth" in the right window, in the "Settings" in the properties Limit the reserved bandwidth", select "Disabled", OK. When the above modification is completed and applied, the user can see the "QoS Packet Scheduler" in the General Properties tab of the Network Connection Properties dialog box. The modification is successful. Otherwise, the modification fails. By the way, the QoS protocol in the network attribute is also killed (uninstalled).

6. Quickly browse the sharing of local area network

Normally, Windows XP will check all the scheduled tasks on the other machine when connecting to other computers. This check will let you wait. 30 seconds or more. The method to remove is Start → Run → Regedit → find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrent VersionExplorerRemoteComputerNameSpace in the registry. Under this key value, there will be a {D6277990-4C6A-11CF-87-00AA0060F5BF} button, delete it, restart the computer, Windows XP will not check the scheduled task, hoho~~~, the speed is obviously improved啦!

7, turn off the debugger Dr. Watson

I seem to have never used this thing since the win95 era, can be canceled this way: open the album, find the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionAeDebug subkey Branch, double-click the Auto key name under it, change its "Value Data" to 0, and finally press F5 to refresh the settings, thus canceling its operation. Following this idea, we can cancel all the options with debugging functions, such as memory.dmp that appears when the screen is blue, in "My Computer → Properties → Advanced → Settings → Write Debug Information → Select None" and so on.
