Eight people easily use a Windows XP

The office has a large population and few machines. Eight people around a machine, today you download this software, I will accidentally delete it for you tomorrow; the day after tomorrow will be used again, but also to download again! It's easy to lose important data without care. All of this, I believe that friends who work in the office have this experience! Fortunately, Windows XP's "multi-user" management method solves this problem for us. With the correct settings, multiple people can use one computer peacefully (Figure 1).

Figure 1 User can be selected at startup

1. Create a new user

In the Windows XP Control Panel, there is a “User Account” option. Open the "User Account" dialog box, select "Create a new account", you can name the newly created new user, set the user's type, the user's type is divided into "computer administrator" and "restricted" two, their The difference is mainly that the permissions are different. You can set the office member as the administrator and the guest to limit the user. After the new account is created successfully, a new user name will appear in the window where the registered user icon is located. This user will also appear on the login screen.

2. Change Account

If you need to modify your account, you can click “Change Account”. After clicking, all existing accounts will appear, and the account that needs to be modified will be selected. You can change its name, image, account type, password, etc.; if you don't need this account, you can even delete it.

3, change the way users log in or log out

There are two ways to log in to users, use the welcome screen and use fast user switching. Using the welcome screen, you can click on the account name to log in. The disadvantage is that the security is not high. Fast user switching allows you to quickly switch to another account without having to close all programs. This way, when other users complete, you can quickly switch to your own account.

The steps to switch users are as follows:

1 Click "Start"
2 Click "Logout"
3 Click "Switch User", then Click on the new user's account name

Tip: You must have a computer administrator account on a computer that is a member of a workgroup or on a stand-alone computer to turn the Fast User Switching feature on or off. Fast User Switching is not available on computers that are members of a network domain.

After the above work is completed, colleagues in the office can use the common computer with confidence. You can set your own style, no longer have to worry about other people's eyes!
