Teach you to install Windows XP

Installing the operating system is a process for us to look at the screen while drinking coffee. Relatively easy to look at. Here is my experience with a new installation of Windows XP.

First of all, we need to set the boot order to CDROM priority in the BIOS, and start it with the Windows XP installation CD. After booting, it can be installed. (Note: Windows XP requires the CPU to be Pentium II 300MHz or more, and the memory is 128MB. the above).

After the installer runs, the "Welcome to Installer" interface appears (Figure 1). Press Enter to start the installation.

Next comes the Windows XP Licensing Agreement screen, press F8 to agree to enter the next step.

In this step, the existing partition in the hard disk or the space that has not been divided (Fig. 2) will be displayed. Here, you can use the up and down cursor keys to select which partition to install Windows XP. The Enter key will do (Note: The selected partition preferably has more than 5GB of free disk space. It is recommended to install Windows XP system partition is 6GB~10GB.). After

created or selected partitions, we also need to format the disk (Figure 3). You can use the FAT (FAT32) or NTFS file system to format the disk. It is recommended to use the NTFS file system, which has many advantages. Use the cursor keys to select here, press the Enter key to start formatting.

After the formatting is completed, the installer will start to copy the installation files from the CD to the hard disk (Figure 4), and will automatically restart after the copy is completed.

After rebooting, you will see the Windows XP interface, but don't be too happy, Windows XP is still far from being installed. The next installation process is very simple. The installation steps are shown on the left side of the installation interface (Figure 5). In fact, the entire installation process is basically automatic, and there are not many places that require manual intervention.

will first pop-up "Regional and Language Options" dialog box in which you can set some input method, of course, use the default settings, click "Next" on the line.

The “Customize Software” dialog box will appear, asking for the name and unit to be filled in, which can be filled in according to the actual situation.

You will then be asked to fill in a 25-digit product key (Figure 6). This key will usually be included on the software CD or in the manual, and you can fill it out according to the CD or the key of the manual.

In the "Computer Name and Administrator Password" dialog box asking you to fill in the computer name and administrator password, be sure to set a strong password, the password should contain letters , numbers, symbols (Figure 7).

Next you are asked to set the date and time, you can click "Next" directly. After the above is completed, the network should be set. If the computer is not in the LAN, you can use the default settings. Press “Next”. If it is a user on the LAN, you can install it under the guidance of the network administrator.

Then the installer will automatically perform other settings and file copying. There may be several short black screens during this time, but don't worry, this is normal. The system will automatically restart after the installation is complete.

This time the reboot is really running Windows XP. However, the first time you run Windows XP, you will be asked to set up the Internet and users, and perform software activation. Windows XP requires at least one user account. You can enter the user name in the "Who will use this computer" step (Figure 8). Chinese and English can be used.

As for the other steps are not required, can do after you start, you can press the lower right corner of the "Next" jump. When everything is done, we can see the Windows XP desktop that is very kind, is it quite a sense of accomplishment?
