runchBang Concepts

runchBang Linux is a Debian-based CD-ROM (LiveCD) GNU/Linux distribution with Xfce, lightweight Openbox as a window manager and GTK+ application. . Lightweight Openbox as a window manager, without disturbing icons, etc., but with black and gray as the main color, strive to be simple, at the same time easy to use, save trouble, by default installed a small number of small commonly used software, Listening to music and watching movies are not required.

CrunchBang is a Debian GNU/Linux-based distribution that combines speed, style and content. Using the flexible Openbox window manager, it is highly customizable and provides a modern, full-featured GNU/Linux system without sacrificing performance.

Crunchbang is highly customizable and users can feel free to adjust it to what they want. It all goes through a text file (configuration). As a Crenchham user, I recently messed up my menu.xml configuration file, which is responsible for the menu display below.

My menu configuration file is missing everything. Since I don't have a backup (preferably back up the configuration file). I had to search for the default configuration after Crunchbang was installed. Here is how I fix it, thanks to the Crunchbang forum.

It's interesting to know all the default configurations that are pre-backed up for you, you can find them here:

/etc/skel/.config/

So for any default Configuration, you just copy them and restart the appropriate program.

I menu.xml Openbox used here as an example:

cp -r /etc/skel/.config/openbox/menu.xml ~ /.config /openbox /Menu.xml

Then restart openbox.

openbox --restart

The above is the method to restore the default configuration of Openbox under Crunchbang. If you accidentally lose the contents of the menu configuration, you can use the solution to restore the default configuration of Openbox. .
