Microsoft provides Node.js support for Win10 IoT Edition

Computer Store News: Microsoft Win10 is a new generation of unified unified operating system. With the increasing competition in cloud computing and mobile computing, Microsoft has also been forced to innovate. Windows 10 has extended to the Internet of Things industry. Now Microsoft has announced that it will be Windows 10 IoT. Core Insider Preview provides Node.js support (an open source, cross-platform server-side and web application runtime environment).

Node.js is an event-driven I/O server-side JavaScript environment based on Google's V8 engine. The goal is to provide a composable scalable web application, such as a web service.

At the Build conference, Microsoft announced a preview of the Windows 10 Internet of Things (IoT) core internal participants and promised to provide tools and support for developers in the future. In Microsoft's official blog Building Apps for Windows, Chakra teams Arunesh Chandra and Gaurav Seth explained support for Node.js and said:

For developers, using Node.js on the IoT platform is a newcomer. Development trend. We look forward to meeting the needs of developers and providing them with the tools they need to succeed on the Windows 10 IoT Core platform.

Currently, Node.js development is available in Windows 10 IoT Core. The steps are:

• Installing Win10 IoT Core Preview System on the device

&bull Install Win10 Insider Preview and Visual Studio 2015 RC on your PC

• Install NTVS 1.1 Beta and NTVS IoT Extension Beta

• Connect devices via PowerShell

Microsoft is constantly innovating and more flexible and open. This is just a recent example. Microsoft provides developers with the convenience to build common applications that run on all platforms through the cloud. Of course, Microsoft has a huge advantage, and developers can easily create common applications on the Windows 10 and Windows 10 IoT Core platforms. If Windows 10 supports most IoT devices, it will be a big growth opportunity for Microsoft's cloud computing department.

The research team further pointed out that more Node.js environments will be launched in the coming weeks and months, and they look forward to receiving feedback to continue to improve the Node.js environment running on Windows.
