Server/WIN2000 can not start several solutions

1. When the system starts to display the operating system list, press F8 to display the advanced startup option;
a. Safe mode: Only load basic services and drivers.
It is used to solve the problem that the system does not start properly after installing additional hardware drivers or software. Select Safe mode, if you can enter the operating system, uninstall additional drivers or software.
b.Last known good: Start the last successful configuration.
It is used to solve the problem that the system is not booted after the driver of the system is incorrectly configured. Select Last known good to revert to the configuration when the last normal login.
c.VGA Mode: Use the standard VGA mode to start the computer with 16-color 640x480 resolution.
It is used to solve the display configuration error, for example, the resolution refresh rate setting is too high, resulting in a flower screen or a black screen.
d.Directory Service Restore Mode: Directory service recovery mode.
If the server is a Domain Controller and the Directory Service directory service is not working properly, select this mode. After entering, you can run ntdsutil.exe to maintain the directory service.
2. Recovery Console: Recovery console.
If you can't boot from an advanced boot option such as safe mode, you can use the Recovery Console.
How to enter Recoveronsole:
a. Boot from the Win2000 CD or 4 installation floppy disks.

3.Emergency Repaire: Emergency repair.
Used to repair system file corruption, registry damage, boot environment damage, etc.
Methods:
A. Make Emergency Repaire Disk when the system is normal:
a. Click Start - Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Backup
b. In the Welcome tab Select Emergency Repaire Disk
B. Use emergency repair disk:
a.Start using Win2000 CD or 4 installation floppy diskb. Select R repair during installation
c. Follow the prompts and select R to use the emergency repair disk to repair.
d. Then select the type of repair
I.fast repair: can repair the registry, system files, boot sectors, boot environment.
II.manual repaire: You can manually select the repair option, but you can't repair the registry.
e. After the repair is completed, the system restarts.
Note: The emergency repair process requires the files in the winnt\ epair directory. Do not delete or modify the files in this directory after the emergency repair disk is created.
4. Use Boot Disk.
It is used to solve the boot sector destruction, C: The root directory boot file is lost due to the loss of boot file.
Method:
a. Format a floppy disk under any Win2000.
b. Copy the following files from the root directory of this win2000 c drive to this floppy disk: ntldr, ntdetect.com, boot.ini (implicit file)
c. Modify the boot.ini file, if this Win2000 and the faulty machine win2000 are installed on the same partition, so no modification is required.
