Serv-U8.0 adds the skills of anonymous users

Friends who are familiar with FTP know that anonymous users do not need to enter a username and password to directly access the FTP server. After Serv-U 7.0, for the security period, anonymous users are not allowed to access by default. How do we manually add anonymous users? In fact, it is very simple, just need to add a username named Anonymous, the password is empty account information.

The specific method is as follows:

1. Open the configuration management interface of Serv-U 8.0 and select “Create, modify and delete user accounts” as shown in Figure 1:

2. On the “Create, Modify, and Delete User Accounts” interface, select “Add”.

3. In the "User Properties" dialog box, the user name under the "User Information" is: Anonymous, the password is blank, and the root directory of the FTP is specified for it.

4. Then in the "Directory Access" option, click "Add" to assign access rights and directories to it.

5. Finally, click "Save", and we have successfully added anonymous users.
