Maxthon can't be associated with .htm and .mht solution

My system is Win7. Recently, Maxthon upgraded to 2.5.13, all the files associated with Maxthon (.htm, .mht) can not be opened, the specific performance is Double-click the file to pop up the "Open Mode" dialog box, select the migration as the default program, the next time you open or pop up a prompt.

Opening the right-click menu of the file will reveal that the "Open Mode" menu item is in bold (bold indicates that it is the default menu item, double-clicking the file is equivalent to clicking it), the above is when Maxthon is the default program. If you set IE as the default program, everything is fine. At this point, I found a problem with the default menu item that may be the Maxthon file.

Open the registry and navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTMax2.Association.HTML, which is the file association information of Maxthon for all HTML files. There is a subkey of "Travel Browser 2" under the shell subkey, and the shell is The default value of the key is also: "Maxthon Browser 2", Maxthon's intention is to add the menu item of the browser 2 to the right-click menu of the .htm, .mht file, and set it as the default menu item.

Note: "Maxthon Browser 2" has a space in the middle. WINDOWS may not be recognized due to the original space. All the default menu items cannot be set to "Maxthon Browser 2", but the system automatically "Open with" is selected as the default menu item.

Workaround:

Remove the space, change the "Maxthon Browser 2" primary key to "Maxthon Browser 2", and change the default value of the shell primary key to "Maxthon Browser 2".
