FTP super skills 16 strokes

I download files from the FTP server every day. The so-called "workers want to do their best, they must first sharpen their tools." I chose the FTP client rookie - FTPRush. The predecessor of FTPRush is UltraFXP, which has more powerful functions than traditional FlashFXP and CuteFTP, such as multi-window operation, more powerful script command support, more convenient interface customization and so on. Here are some "ultra-short" tips that I have summarized using FTPRush for a few months. If you master them, I believe that your FTP operation will be even cooler!

1. In the "local window" of FTPRush, if you directly select a file and click the right-click menu, the menu selection related to FTPRush appears. If you hold down Shift and right click, Then there is the right-click menu of the resource manager, which is very convenient for us to manage files in FTPRush.

2. When upgrading the FTPRush version, it is best to first back up the RushSite.xml file in the old FTPRush installation directory. Here is the FTP site in your Site Manager, since FTPRush v1. 0 RC5 starts, if you overwrite the installation with the new version of the installation package, RushSite.xml will be overwritten.

3. After connecting to FTP, select the file or directory to be downloaded and press the Ctrl+Q hotkey to add the file or directory to the queue without right-clicking. "Add selected files to the queue".

4. Select the file to be downloaded, and select the directory where the downloaded file is stored in the "Local Window". Press "Ctrl+T" to start the file transfer, as shown in Figure 1.

5. Find files in FTPRush to support wildcard characters "*" and "?". For example, if we want to find the directory named "Da Tang Shuanglong Chuan", then we can input "* Datang*" Or just type "Datang" directly. To find it, just press the "Ctrl+F" hotkey and enter the keyword.

6. If you want to return to the original directory after searching, you can click the “Upper Directory” button, but we need to re-initiate the request to the server. In fact, just press “Ctrl+F” again. And you can directly press Enter. At this time, the files read are kept in the local cache, and the speed is much faster.
7. In the Site Manager, hold down the Shift key and double-click on a site, the FTP test window will pop up, and pressing the Ctrl key will double-click the site.

8. Regardless of the local file or the file on the FTP server, when we select them, press the space bar, the file name of the file will be bolded, which is for our directory with more files. It's helpful to find them quickly.

9. The old version of the UltraFXP site file, just need to rename it to "RushSite.xml" and overwrite the FTPRush installation directory to import the site.

10. Select "Help → About FTPRush", click "Rush every byte" in the window that opens, there is an egg, which will scroll through the list of FTPRush developers, very interesting.

11. You can quickly switch to the first, second, ... station window by pressing "Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2...", or you can directly switch between multiple stations by pressing "Ctrl+Tab". .

12. In the Site Manager, double-click a site to open its properties window, click the "..." button behind the "Password" bar to directly view the password plaintext, as shown in Figure 2.

13. Sometimes in order to view all the files in a certain FTP or a list of files in a directory, we can select the "Station → Export FTP directory tree list" menu, in the pop-up window Enter the directory depth. If you need to output the directory and file size, select "Output directory and file size", and finally click the "OK" button. Wait a moment to see the output effect, as shown in Figure 3.

14. Select any part of the log record in the station log, transfer log, system log, and the part of the record will be automatically pasted into the clipboard.

15. Double-click the SFV or MD5 checksum file in the local file window, and FTPRush will automatically verify the file.

16. Select the “Tools→Hot Key Manager” menu to redistribute all hotkeys here, and redesign the toolbars, menus, and windows in the “Tools→Layout” menu. It is a unique feature of FTPRush. The designed layout can be saved and shared with friends, as shown in Figure 4.
