Why do some Win10 folders have a lock icon?

After a user opens the Win10 system and finds that there are some icons on the folder with a lock, what do these icons do? Why is there a lock icon on the folder? In fact, the icon with the lock indicates that these folders have been encrypted. As long as the folder encryption is cancelled, the lock flag can be removed.

1, just right-click on the folder and choose & ldquo; Properties & rdquo ;, then in the Properties window of the & ldquo; regular & rdquo; tab, click on the & ldquo; Superior & rdquo; button to open the & ldquo ; advanced properties & rdquo; window.

2, you can see & ldquo; Encrypt contents to secure data & rdquo; option is checked in the state. Uncheck "Also encrypt content to protect data".

Win10's folder properties can be directly encrypted to protect data. If this option is checked, a lock icon will be displayed on the folder. Uncheck the icon to clear the icon.
