How to set system virtual memory in Win7

Virtual memory is a technology for computer system memory management. It allows an application to think that it has contiguously available memory. In fact, it is usually divided into multiple pieces of physical memory, and some are temporarily stored on external disk storage for data exchange when needed. The computer lacks the random access memory required to run programs or operations. Windows uses virtual memory to compensate, so virtual memory is critical to the operation of the computer. Here is a way to set up the virtual memory of the Windows 7 system.
First, set virtual memory
1, right click "computer" & rdquo; select & ldquo; attributes & rdquo;.

2, in the selection "advanced system settings" & rdquo; & rarquo; & ldquo; performance & rdquo; & rarquo; & ldquo; set & rdquo; & rarquo; & ldquo; advanced & rdquo; & rarquo; & ldquo; virtual memory & rdquo;.

3. Select “Change”→“Automatic Management Cancel&>→“Custom Size”→“Set”→“OK”→Exit Restart That is, the setting is completed.

Second, the precise virtual memory settings:
1, right click "computer", select "Computer Management".
2, in the "computer management", expand: Performance & rdquo; & rarr; & ldquo; monitoring tools & rdquo; & rarquo; & ldquo; performance counters rdquo; add a memory counter to understand the peak memory footprint, and then set according to this usage Virtual memory value.

Setting virtual memory can ease the pressure of some physical memory. If you set too much virtual memory or feel that performance is not improved, only consider adding physical memory.
