The role of the extra domain controller in the Win7 system and how to create an additional domain controller for the

Win7 system? What does it do? The following simple steps teach you how to create it.
The role of the extra controller: The so-called extra controller refers to other domain controllers except the first domain controller.
When installing multiple domain controllers in the same domain, it will have the following advantages:
1. Improve user login efficiency. Because multiple domain controllers can share the work of auditing users at the same time, it can speed up the user's login speed. When there are a large number of users in the network, or multiple network services require identity authentication, multiple off-domain controllers should be installed.
2. Provide fault tolerance. Even if one of the domain controllers fails, services can be provided by other domain controllers, allowing users to log in normally and provide user authentication.
3. There is no need to back up Active Directory. When there is more than one domain controller (DC, Domain Controller) in the domain, the domain controllers can copy and backup each other. Therefore, when reinstalling one of the DCs, backing up Active Directory is not required, just remove it from the domain, reinstall it, and bring it back to the domain, then the other DCs will automatically copy the data. Go to this DC. That is, if only one or only the last DC is left in a domain, it is necessary and necessary to back up Active Directory.
4. When installing additional domain controllers, you need to copy the Active Directory database from the existing domain controller to this new domain controller.
Create Method /Step:
1. Execute the [Start] 丨 [Administrative Tools] 丨 [Server Manager] command of win7 system, in the "Server Manager" window, click [Control on the left side] Desk Tree] 丨 [Role] option, click the [Active Directory Domain Services] button on the right, and then click the [Active Directory Domain Services Installation Wizard (dcpromo. exe)] button to start the installation wizard, and click [Next] Button.
2. Until the dialog box shown is displayed, click to select the [Existing Forest] [Add Domain Controller to Existing Domain] button, and then click the [Next] button.
3. In the dialog box, enter the account credentials for the installation (in this case, use the domain administrator lchh), and then click the [OK] button, and click the [Next] button continuously.
4. Set the source of the domain data in the dialog box (this example uses the default [copy data from the existing domain controller through the network], it is recommended not to change), and then refer to the method of installing the subdomain, after the completion of the computer Restart, the extra domain controller configuration is complete.
Summary: Learn what the extra controllers do, learn to install and create additional controllers, and get your network out of the way.
