Windows 7 Starter was found to include wireless temporary network features

Microsoft has announced that Windows 7 Starter Edition will not have the ability to establish a wireless temporary network between computers. That is to say, after installing the Starter version of Windows 7, you can only connect to the public wireless hotspot, and can not transfer files or establish printer sharing with other computers.

However, a Windows development blogger recently discovered the Windows copy that comes with the ASUS Eee PC and found that their pre-installed Starter version system can use the wireless temporary network function normally.

The blog suspects that the computer manufacturer may have modified the data used to identify the software version in the system.
