Windows Vista with Windows 7 installed on Windows 7

In Windows Vista, Microsoft introduced the Windows Mail client, which greatly facilitates the user's use and management of mail. But then, both Windows Mail and OutLook Express were replaced by the Windows Live Mail component in Windows Live Essentials.

In this way, if you want to use Windows Live Mail, you must download the Window Live Essientials package. In Windows 7, Microsoft did not pre-install any mail client. Fortunately, someone has found a solution to export the Windows Mail component under Vista and install it under Windows 7.

The method is also very simple,

1. Copy and paste the SystemDrive%\\Program Files\\Windows Mail folder under Vista to Windows 7 and overwrite

2. Send %SystemDrive%\\Program Files\\Windows Mail\\winmail.exe shortcut to the desktop

PS: If you encounter permission problems, please follow the steps below:

(1). Run Windows 7 Optimization Master (click here to download)
(2). System Settings - Right-Click Menu Settings - Add - Administrator Takes Ownership - Save Settings
(3). Right-click Windows Mail Folder under Windows 7 - Administrator gets Ownership
(4). Continue to cover operations

For English users, here is also the Windows Mail download in Windows Vista:

Windows-Mail-Vista.zip

Because I don't have Vista at hand, if a friend is willing to help package and upload the Windows Mail folder, you can give the address.
