The latest trend of Windows death black screen: really is not the fault of Microsoft patch

The recent report of the black screen of death after the installation of Microsoft's upgrade patch has a new saying. After investigation, Microsoft claimed that the culprit causing the black screen of death is not Windows 7, Vista and other Windows upgrade patches, and found the fault in the UK Prevx subsequently acknowledged this.

At that time, the British security company Prevx posted a detailed description of this black screen crash on its website:

"First of all, there seem to be many factors that cause black screen crashes. The process of starting the operating system is normal. However, after logging in to the operating system, the user finds that the desktop, taskbar, system tray and other interface elements disappear, and the system only displays a computer file browser window on the big black screen background."

The company subsequently posted a patch to fix this failure.

Now, we can already determine that this fault does exist. On Microsoft's TechNet website, Microsoft's technicians said they were investigating the failure. At the time, they said the problem seemed to be related to an MS09-065 update just released last month. However, after a survey by Microsoft technicians, MS09-065 was not the culprit causing such a failure. They said:

"According to our survey, we released the upgrade patch in November, including the release. The malware removal tool and other non-security update patches did not change the registry entries described in Prevx that caused the blackout to crash. So we don't think this upgrade is the culprit for the black screen crash." Br>

We have heard that many people have experienced this kind of failure recently, so it is obvious that this kind of failure is real. In addition, I also received a lot of feedback that the fault is still after using the black screen patch of Prevx. So the cause of this failure is not as simple as imagined, maybe some changes in some system or software settings have led to this failure.

According to the latest news we had, Prevx company has acknowledged the reasons for this failure is not Microsoft's upgrade patch.
