Windows 7 New Utility: Problem Feedback Recorder

If you have technical support for others, I believe there must be a lot of painful memories, such as letting the other party describe the specific process of the problem in detail and accurately. Now, Windows 7 provides a very good utility: "Problem Steps Recorder".

This tool can be seen as a screen recording software, except that it records not a video, but a document. It is also very simple to use: enter “ldr.exe” in the start menu search box, and the top of the screen will appear. A small thing like a Windows recorder; next click on “Start Record”, the user can gradually reproduce the problem, this video will automatically take a screenshot every time the mouse is clicked, and add the corresponding Note; after the recording is completed, a dialog box will pop up, allowing the user to fill in more problem descriptions and comments, and finally generate a compressed MHTML report file and save it for sending to the helper.

The generated report is actually an XML file, including a screenshot of each step of the user's operation and highlighting the mouse click area, and supports viewing in a slideshow, even allowing you to dig the cursor XY coordinates and more details. .
