The NET PRINT command under Windows 7 is deleted

If you are used to the command to operate the system, then you can try to type "net /?" under the command line of Windows 7, you will find the following picture:

Yeah... How is the NET PRINT instruction missing?

Yes, you are not mistaken, the NET PRINT directive does not exist in Windows 7.

Why? According to the knowledge of the TechNet team in China, the decision not to continue to provide NET PRINT instructions on Windows 7 has two reasons, one is the use of instructions, and the other is that there are other ways to achieve the same purpose.

Before we begin to explain how we can achieve the same effect, let's review the NET PRINT command.

Through the instructions of NET PRINT (see below), we can know that NET PRINT is used to display the current print job sort status. You can use commands to assign the status of your print job, such as pausing print jobs, restoring print jobs, and deleting print jobs.

NET PRINT
\\computernamesharename
[\\computername] job# [/HOLD |  /RELEASE |  /DELETE]

NET PRINT displays print jobs and shared queues. For each queue, the display lists jobs, showing the size and status of each job, and the status of the queue.

computername Is the name of the computer sharing the printer queue(s).
sharename is the name of the shared printer queue.
job# is the identification number assigned to a print job. A computer with one or more printer queues The job stays in the printer queue, and other jobs bypass it until it is released.
/RELEASE reactivates a job that is Held.
/DELETE removes a job from a queue.

Although NET PRINT no longer exists, you find prnjobs.vbs in %windir%System32Printing_Admin_Scriptsen-US to achieve the same functionality.
