Win7 system comes with a system restore, than GHOST cattle!

Creating an image

Create a system image has become very easy, just need to Click & ldquo in the Start menu in Win 7; All Programs & rarr; maintenance & rarr; Backup and Restore & rdquo;, you can see the link to create a system image on the left, click to open the create system image window (as shown in Figure 1). The entire creation process, the user needs to do is to select according to the prompts, and click "Next", it is no exaggeration to say, as long as you know Chinese, you can create an image.

In the "Backup & Restore" panel, click the “Enable Plan (U)" link to open the scheduled task for creating a system image so that the system will you choose the time to back up, and in accordance with your request to save the backup file

Ps: Also, when specifying the location of the backup file is stored, in addition to select the local hard drive, removable In addition to the hard disk or burning DVD disc, you can also choose to save it in the network location (as shown in Figure 2). Although it only increases the setting of the network location, it gives us more choices and provides more solutions.

We all know that the operation of backing up the system with Ghost is basically done only after the computer has just been installed. After that, it seems that not many people will re-create an image file again, even though we have installed numerous upgrade patches and updated a lot of software, perhaps because no one knows when their system will crash, so I am too lazy to do a backup again. But the problem also comes with it. When the system really collapses and needs to be restored, we can only blame ourselves for being lazy. But in Win 7, this problem has been effectively solved. In the "Backup and Restore" panel, click the "Enable Plan (U)" link to open the scheduled task for creating a system image so that the system will back up at the time you choose and follow your requirements. save the backup file.

image recovery

similar to the Ghost, in Win 7, the image is restored It can be booted from the CD or operated in the Win 7 desktop environment. If your system has crashed, you can boot from the recovery disc and then select "System Image Recovery" in the options (as shown in Figure 4) to search for the image file and restore the system.

However, the need of special note is, Win 7 backup The system will prompt whether the backup file storage disk is on the same physical disk as the backed up partition, and if so, a warning will be issued (as shown in Figure 7).

In addition, recovery in the Win 7 desktop environment, You can also freely choose any file and directory in the backup file to restore (as shown in Figure 8).

I have not compared the image recovery in Win 7 with Ghost specific backup time, recovery time and image file size. But in terms of feeling, these two items are almost the same. I did all the disk backups, but it took about 8 minutes (this time has a lot to do with the files stored in your disk). However, the image backup and restore of Win 7 is simpler and more flexible in operation, and is more suitable for ordinary users. In terms of functionality, it can completely replace or even exceed Ghost.
