I believe many of my friends have played Microsoft's virtual machine (VPC) before. In Windows 7, Microsoft used it as the system's built-in file, the virtual disk file, which is used by the virtual disk file. It is a VHD (Microsoft Virtual Machine VPC file format) file, which means that it can directly read the files created by the Microsoft Virtual Machine VPC, which is very convenient. Let's take a look at how to create a VHD virtual partition.

1. create a VHD file

when

below us to create a virtual disk is created, right-click & ldquo; & rdquo ;, computer in the pop-up menu, select & ldquo; tube & Rdquo ;, in the open & ldquo; computer management & rdquo; interface, click & ldquo; & rdquo ;, disk management into disk management interface.

Tip: Enter diskmgmt.msc in the “Run” dialog box to open the “Disk Management” dialog box.

In the "Disk Management" window, click the "Operation"→“Create VHD" command in the menu to open the "Create and Attach Virtual Disk Wizard" dialog box. Enter the location where the virtual disk file is saved here to save the file to a larger partition. Then enter the capacity of the virtual disk in "virtual disk size", where we can enter as needed. Next we see two single options below the dialog.

The "Fixed size" item indicates that the virtual disk is set to a fixed amount of space, and "Dynamically expanding" is dynamically adjusted according to the saved data. After the setting is completed, click “OK">; The system automatically completes the creation of the virtual disk.

2. Attachment VHD file

After the virtual disk is created, we will also attach it to the disk manager. When it is attached, click the <quo;Operation”→“Add VHD” command in the Disk Manager menu, open the “Add Virtual Hard Disk” dialog box, click the Browse button to select the VHD file you just created, click OK to add the virtual disk to “Disk Manager>, shown here as Disk 1.

At this point, the virtual disk can not be used, like the physical hard disk, we need to partition, format and other settings before use. Right-click on the drive and select the “New Simple Volume” command to bring up the Disk Partition Wizard, where we can partition the virtual disk as needed. After the partition is complete, we see the new disk partition of the program in Disk Manager.

These two partitions are VHD disk partitions. In the future, we can directly partition operations in “My Computer". After the VHD virtual partition is created, copy the VHP virtual machine files to the partition and we can use it directly.

3. Closing and Deleting VHD Files

When using virtual disks, we can temporarily close virtual disks as needed. In operation, right click on "Disk Manager" in the "Virtual Disk" icon to select "Offline", so that "virtual disk" can not be accessed in the "Resource Manager" The partition created by the virtual disk. In the future, we only need to right-click "virtual disk" in the "Disk Manager" "Virtual Disk" to select "Online", which can be accessed in the Explorer.

In the "Disk Manager", the virtual disk is also provided with a "VHD file" separation function. By separating function, we can delete the virtual disk from the disk manager, so that it cannot be used. The VHD file will be reattached to the VHD file until later. When separating VHD files, select the virtual disk icon in Disk Manager and right click to select “Separate VHD”; pop up the separate virtual hard disk wizard, if you check “delete the virtual hard disk file after deleting the disk”, the whole virtual disk will It is completely deleted and the data saved on this disk will also be lost.
