Win7 to transfer desktop files to the D drive

In the Win7 system, many users like to save files directly on the desktop, and "desktop" is actually a folder in the C drive. Not only does this take up a lot of memory, but if the system crashes, the files in the desktop folder will be destroyed and cannot be recovered. For security reasons, we can transfer desktop files to other disks, such as the D drive.

The steps are as follows:

1. Open the “Personal Folders” under “Users” in the C drive (the specific name varies depending on the personal settings), find ““ Desktop ”Folder;

2. Right click on the “Desktop” folder and select “Properties” in the “Desktop” tab of the “Desktop Properties” dialog box. Click on "Move" (pictured), select a folder on another disk, and the “Desktop” folder will be moved to another disk. During the move, the system will ask, “Would you like to move all the files from the original location to the new location”, select “Yes

3, to this point, put & ldquo; Desktop & rdquo; on file, it is automatically stored in the other disk. If you want to restore the default settings of "Desktop", in the "Desktop Properties" tab of the "Desktop Properties" tab, click “Restore Defaults  to restore the original location of the "Desktop" folder.

After this setting, we don't have to worry about the system crashing. The files on the desktop are all gone. Interested users will quickly try the small series method.
